Technical Issues & Troubleshooting

Fix problems with templates, animations, icons, backups, publishing, and more.
My Webflow template is not showing inside my Workspace. What should I do?

If you purchased a template through the Webflow Marketplace, make sure you’re viewing the same Workspace you used during checkout.

Webflow attaches the license to the Workspace where the payment was completed.

If the template still isn’t showing, contact Webflow Support, as they control all Marketplace deliveries.

If you unlocked a template through the BYQ Supply ULTRA plan, simply open the template page on BYQ Supply and use the Remix Link.

If something still doesn’t work, feel free to write to us.

Icons aren't changing color. Why?

Most BYQ templates use SVG icons inside Embed elements. Those icons use:

  • stroke="currentColor"
  • optional variable tokens

If the icons in your template don’t change color, they’re likely PNGs or SVGs exported as static graphics.

To recolor them:

  1. Extract the asset from the template
  2. Open it in Figma
  3. Change the stroke or fill
  4. Re-upload the icon into Webflow
Animations don't work after copying a section. How do I fix this?

Skeletons and Sections are built with native Webflow Interactions, so animations should work normally when pasted.

In rare cases Webflow glitches and loses the trigger connection.

If this happens:

  1. Open the Interactions panel
  2. Delete the broken trigger
  3. Add the trigger again
  4. Reassign the interaction

This fixes the issue 99% of the time.

Why does Webflow sometimes lose animation triggers?

Webflow occasionally detaches interactions when elements are moved between pages or renamed.

If a trigger disappeared:

Just delete the old one and re-add it with correct interaction.

Why does my HTML export look different from Webflow?

Because Webflow Export does not include any dynamic features, such as:

  • CMS content
  • E-commerce logic
  • Webflow Forms
  • Any feature that requires the Webflow backend

Static layout, styles, interactions, and classes do export correctly.

But CMS-driven or system-level content will not function in a static HTML package.

How do I restore a backup of my Webflow project?

Webflow automatically saves backups for every publish and major change.

To restore:

  1. Open your project in Webflow
  2. Bottom-left → Settings
  3. Go to the Backups tab
  4. Choose a backup → click Restore

⚠️ This will overwrite all progress made after the selected backup.
