Lovable

BYQ vs Lovable: a designed site, or a built app?

Lovable and BYQ are both AI website builders. Lovable suits founders and developers who want to describe an app and get working code. BYQ suits designers and agencies who want a designed marketing site, ready to edit, from the first screen, with an MCP that brings its sections into React projects too.

Build whole sites from Claude.Pick a template, rewrite it, publish. Without leaving the chat.

The BYQ MCP works in Lovable too. Build the app in Lovable and keep the marketing site in BYQ.

  • Starts from a real template. Your AI picks one of 70+ BYQ templates and creates your site from it, CMS included.
  • Edits like a developer. It reads and writes the site's files, then checks every page in a real browser before it moves on.
  • Publishes for you. One call puts it live on a byqsite.com link (publishing needs Pro, Ultra or hosting).
  • Your Claude plan pays. Building from Claude uses none of your BYQ AI tokens, and the site stays editable in the Website builder.

Which one fits your job?Lovable is the stronger tool for apps.

Choose Lovable if…

  • You are building an app with logins, a database, payments or any server-side logic.
  • You want working code you can sync to GitHub and keep extending by prompt.
  • You are a founder or developer comfortable iterating on a prompt until it works.

Choose BYQ if…

  • You want to know what you will get before you start, and still adjust every detail.
  • You are building a marketing, portfolio or agency site and want it to look designed from the first screen.
  • You want 2,900+ sections cut from award-recognized templates, for Webflow, Figma, Framer, HTML and Shopify.
  • You want your AI to build with real designed sections, and to edit by hand when you choose.

Frequently askedquestions.

For a marketing or portfolio site, yes. Both build a site with AI, but from different places: Lovable turns a prompt into a full-stack app, BYQ starts from a finished, hand-designed template and edits it. For an app with logins, a database or payments, Lovable is the better fit.

Lovable says new projects created since May 2026 are server-rendered, and older projects use React with prerendering for crawlers. New projects still need their titles, descriptions and sitemap set up. BYQ sites come with SEO files, a sitemap and per-page metadata built in. We have not benchmarked the two.

Lovable prices by credits: the Free plan gives 5 credits a day, up to 30 a month, and paid plans are listed on lovable.dev/pricing. BYQ Pro is $15 a month billed annually ($20 quarterly) and includes the library, the builder, MCP and one custom domain. Hand edits in BYQ cost no tokens; only AI actions do.

Every section comes from a real, production-ready template built by BYQ Studio and Wavesdesign, the same designs sold as complete websites. There are 2,900+ in all, for Webflow, Figma and HTML, and many for Framer and Shopify.

Lovable syncs two-way with GitHub. On BYQ, code export is an Ultra feature: a Next.js project, without the hosting extras (analytics, forms, SEO files). If you need to own and extend the code, Lovable is the more open of the two.

No. It generates the interface from your prompt, a Figma link or a screenshot. BYQ has 2,900+ hand-designed sections, 200+ templates and 300+ design systems you can start from or hand to any AI tool.

Yes. The BYQ MCP works with Lovable, so you can pull BYQ sections into a Lovable project, or use Lovable for the app and BYQ for the marketing site.
