The builder emails you only when something needs your attention or can help you finish a site. Below are the emails, then the messages you may see and how to fix each.
Emails about your sites
- “Your site goes offline in 7 days unless you log in.” For Free sites only, after 30 days without activity. Open your site in the builder and it resets. If it does go offline after 37 days, nothing is lost and you can publish it again. Paid plans and sites with their own hosting never get it.
- “Keep [domain] live.” Your plan no longer includes your own domain for that site. It stays live for 14 days, then moves back to its byqsite.com address. Host just that site for $15 a month, or choose a plan that includes it.
- “Your sites are over the [plan] plan's limit” and “[n] sites were archived.” You have more sites than your plan allows. After 14 days the least recently edited sites are archived, not deleted. See Export, archive and delete.
- Unpublished nudges. About a day after you start a site you have not published, “[name] is one click from live”. About three days after, a short note from the co-founder, “Anything stopping you from publishing [site]?”.
- Domain nudge. A day after your first publish, if you have no domain yet: “[host] is live. Want [example.com]?”
- “New [form] submission on [site].” One per form entry. Spam is never emailed. See Forms and integrations.
- “Your [tool] connection stopped working.” Form entries are no longer reaching a connected tool. Use Fix the connection.
The nudge emails have an unsubscribe link. They are skipped if you were just active in the builder.
Errors and fixes
In the editor
- “Your workspace is asleep. Reload the page and try again.” An idle workspace sleeps after a few minutes. Reload the page and repeat the action.
- “This workspace was restarted in another tab. Reload the page and send it again.” You have the site open elsewhere. Use one tab.
- “The agent is still working. Send this again when it finishes, or stop it first.” Wait for the agent's turn to end or press stop.
- “[Site] is still building. Wait for it to finish, then send this.” Your team runs one build at a time.
- “Could not start the workspace. Please try again.” Try again in a moment.
- “You're out of AI tokens. Top up to keep building.” Everything built so far is saved. After topping up, send “continue”. Style, Pages and CMS edits do not need tokens. See What uses tokens, and what is free.
- “This build session reached its spending limit. Start a new session to continue.” Start a new chat and carry on.
- “That video is over 40 MB. Try a shorter or smaller clip.” Use MP4, WebM or MOV under 40 MB.
- “Version [n]'s files weren't saved, so it can't be restored.” Restore a neighbouring version. See Versions, undo and restore.
Publishing
- “Confirm your email address to publish.” Click the link in the email, or choose to send it again, and check spam.
- “Your site contains secret keys that would be public once it is live.” Ask the agent to remove them, then publish again.
- “The site has no home page yet.” Build the home page first.
- “Publishing failed because the production build broke.” The log goes to the agent to fix.
- “Something went wrong on our side. Try again in a moment.” Publish again shortly.
- “This site is archived. Restore it to publish.” Restore it from your sites list first.
Domains
- “Enter a domain you own, like www.yourbrand.com.” Type the full domain.
- “That domain is already connected to another site.” Disconnect it there first.
- “Your plan includes [n] site(s) on your own domain, and it is in use.” Host this site for $15 a month or upgrade.
- Stuck on Waiting for DNS or Verify ownership. Check the records match the panel exactly, remove old A or AAAA records, set Cloudflare records to DNS only, and give it up to an hour. See Your own domain and hosting.
- “Too many calls in the last minute.” Wait about a minute.
- Fair-use hours reached. Try later or upgrade. See Build with your own AI tool.
