When the Converter result looks wrong

Most odd results come from a handful of causes. Find yours below.
Works with
  • Webflow
  • Figma

Check your input first. Most surprises come from code the Converter cannot turn into native Webflow elements, so it keeps that part working as an embed instead.

Part of it is a code block, not elements
  • Animation keyframes and :root blocks go into a CSS Embed. So do rules the Webflow style panel cannot hold, such as :nth-child, :not and multi-level descendant selectors.
  • JavaScript always lands in a JS Embed. When your code uses GSAP, the Converter adds the GSAP script for you.
  • Form fields outside a <form> become embeds. Wrap them in one.
Some values show as custom properties

Values such as clamp(), calc(), min(), max(), ch and fr units, backdrop-filter and background-image: url() are kept as raw values. Find them in the Custom Properties panel in Webflow.

Breakpoints do not match

Only max-width media queries map to Webflow breakpoints.

Everything sits in one section

The result is one Section. Convert one section at a time, not a whole page.

Nothing converts
  • "HTML is required" means the HTML tab is empty.
  • If you are signed out, Convert sends you to sign-up. Sign in and try again.
The Figma result is flat

Convert to Figma takes HTML and CSS only and keeps the static look. JavaScript is ignored.

You should see the output in the preview, with the node and style counts shown. Conversions are free, with no AI tokens.

If it did not work: simplify the code with class-only styling, then convert again. The writing guide has an example prompt.
