Most failed pastes come down to one of five things: you are signed out, the section is locked, you hit a copy limit, you chose a different copy option, or you pasted in the wrong place. Check them in this order.
Choose Copy to Webflow, then click the page in the Designer canvas and paste. Pasting into a settings field or text box does nothing useful. If the section pastes but looks off, upload the fonts listed on its page.
Choose Copy to Figma, open a Figma file and paste onto the canvas.
Copy to Framer copies a link as text, not layers. Paste the link into Framer to add the component. The option only appears when the section has a Framer version, and it is switched off while a theme is applied. Remove the theme to use it.
Copy HTML and Copy to Shopify do not use the clipboard first. They open a code window where you press Download or copy the code. Shopify shows only for sections that have a .liquid file, and not while a theme is applied.
Open Copy section, then Copy Prompt, and pick your tool. If you see "Prompt not available yet for this section", that section has no prompt yet. For Pro sections, "Pro access required to copy this prompt" means you need Pro or Ultra.
You should see a short confirmation such as "Webflow content copied to clipboard".
If it did not work: try a free section first. If that pastes, the problem is the section's lock or a limit. If it does not, contact support with the tool and section name.
