Invite your clients to edit text and leave comments

October 30, 2026

Handing a site to a client usually means two things: they want to fix the odd word themselves, and they want to tell you what to change without a long email. The Website Builder now handles both, inside the site.

Client editing

Invite a client to one site from Site settings, under Clients. They get an email with a thumbnail of the site and their own account, and a site can have up to three clients. What they see is a stripped-down editor: no chat, no code, no settings, just a content-only Select panel for text, images and CMS items, with the structure of a CMS item locked. History shows each change as made by the client, so you always know who touched what.

Publishing is off for clients by default. They can ask instead, and you get an email.

Comments on the page

Press C for the Comment tool and click anywhere on the preview. The pin is anchored to the element, not to a pixel position, so it stays attached when the layout moves. Threads support replies, reactions, images and resolving, and you can copy a link to any one of them. Designers get a Fix with AI button that sends a thread to the assistant, and a grouped email digest means nobody has to watch the editor for feedback. Open the Website Builder.
